Every workshop on Meckly has to prove it is a real, registered business. It keeps the platform safe for you and for your customers.
Why you can't skip this
We use Stripe to run the check. Stripe is regulated in Australia under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006. Under that law Stripe cannot work with a business it has not identified. So there is no way around this step, for anyone.
Nothing changes about how you get paid today
